Our Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Course is an MTO-approved program designed to help new drivers develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to drive safely. The course combines online theory with in-car training, covering road safety, defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, and practical driving skills.
Upon successful completion, students become eligible for an earlier G2 road test and may qualify for insurance discounts with participating insurance providers.
What’s Included:
20 hours of online instruction – Learn Ontario traffic laws, road signs, defensive driving, and safe driving practices at your own pace.
10 hours of online homework – Reinforce your knowledge through guided self-study activities.
10 hours of in-car training – One-on-one driving lessons with a certified instructor to build practical driving skills and confidence.
MTO-approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) certificate – Issued upon successful completion of the course.
Earlier G2 road test eligibility – Take your G2 road test after 8 months instead of 12.
